P-51D Mustang Old Crow Signature Edition Model Reviews
In 1944, Capt. Clarence "Bud" Anderson began his second WWII combat tour with the 357th Fighter Group. Assigned a North American Aviation P-51D Mustang in standard olive-drab camouflage, Anderson reported to his ground crew that the plane contrasted starkly with the snow then falling over Germany. His crew spent the next night stripping and polishing "Old Crow" until its original metal was a gleaming silver. Old Crow carried Anderson safely through 116 missions without being hit by enemy fire. You can own a piece of WWII history with this collector's model of Old Crow. Meticulously hand-crafted 1:24-scale model was created using authentic aircraft blueprints and reference photographs and reproduces the markings of the actual airplane in stunning detail. Adding to its authenticity, this model was personally signed by Col. (Ret.) Bud Anderson. Each limited-edition model is carved from fine Philippine mahogany and hand-painted. Includes removable wood base and Certificate of Authenticity. Wingspan: 18.25". Length: 16.2". Ages 14 and up (not a toy). Keep in a protected, dry environment. Imported.
